Thistle Scientific was established in 1997 by co-directors Gerry McGeachey and Galen Milne and has steadily grown to its present staff level of 20. At present 8 external sales people cover the UK market. In June 2005 Thistle acquired Web Scientific Ltd to strengthen its product range and position in the life science market. Current Product/Target markets: Bioscience equipment e.g Electrophoresis, Gel Documentation, Thermocyclers, etc.; Manual and Robotic liquid handling products; Reagents and accessories for electrophoresis; HTS/Robotic plastic consumables; Associated small equipment for above. Thistle supplies dedicated comet assay electrophoresis equipment.
